Mail Tour
Sending Mail
There are several ways to send mail.
1) Go to the MAIL tab, and then the CREATE MAIL link, if you know the alias of the user to which
you wish to send mail.
2) While you are browsing user profiles after using SEARCH, within the profile is a link to SEND ONLINE MAIL to the user whose
profile you are viewing. Clicking that
link will take you to a mail form, allowing you to create a new online mail.

Mail Menu Features
The MAIL tab takes you to your IN BOX. All mail and message-related links
are found on the MAIL BOX menu from the MAIL tab.
The navigation menu in the MAIL module has links to allow you to
CREATE MAIL, set up DEFAULT MESSAGES for your mail messages, see a list of
WHOM I'VE MAILED, WHO'S MAILED ME, and more.
Checking Mail via Mail Notice Link
Whenever a user sends you a new online mail, a mail notice is sent directly to your personal
email address. There is a link to "CLICK HERE TO READ YOUR ONLINE MAIL" or optionally you may
LOG IN AND click the MAIL tab to see a list of incoming mail.
Checking Mail via YOU'VE GOT MAIL link

Once you've logged into the web site, if you have new UNREAD incoming mail, on every page
you will find a flashing You've Got Mail logo. This will continue to flash until you read the mails.
To read the mails, simply click the alias of the person who sent you the mail, which appears
below the You've Got Mail logo. This takes you directly to the mail to be able to read and reply.

You may optionally click the You've Got Mail flashing logo itself to take you to your INBOX
and review the mini profile prior to reading the mail.
Mail Box
Go to your MAIL BOX by clicking the MAIL tab at the top of every page after you've logged in.
Your MAIL BOX defaults to displaying all incoming mail in your IN BOX, but also has menu items to
allow display of mail in your OUT BOX.

Messages sort by most recent date sent. Within your mailbox, there is also a drop down list at the top which allows you to change
the sort order to various other sort orders, including sorting alphabetically by alias.
Simply change the sort order and click the button to "Change Sort Order."

Read Mail
Click the "Subject" or the "Read:" hyperlinks to open the mail and read and/or reply.

You may use the REPLY button to reply, or send a "Polite No Thanks" or a "No Time Now" response.
You may customize these messages using the "Mail Setup" | "Default Messages" menu item.
You may also "Reply With a Smile", "Mail Me A Copy" or "Delete" the message to send it to your
deleted box.
We recommend mailing yourself a copy of mails received online. Once they are purged, they are gone.
If you wish to retain copies for your records, please mail them to yourself.
Reply to Mail
When you reply to a mail, it will show you their member type and tell you if you are allowed
to exchange contact information or not, based on both of your member plans.

You may input your mail content and use the SAVE DRAFT button to save often, so as not to lose your mail.
Optionally, you may compose your mail offline, and then paste it into the form and save it. You may
also use the Spell Check button to check your spelling.
Below your mail is the original mail for you to review while responding. You may click the link to
"View the Original Message." It will open in a new window as long as your computer allows windows to pop open.
When ready to send the mail, select the "Save and Send" button.
Delete Mail
You may mark a message for Deletion by checking the "Delete" check box that displays
next to READ messages. Then scroll to the bottom and select the "Delete Selected Messages" button.
It will be moved into your DELETED box. You may go to the DELETED OUT BOX or DELETED IN BOX to
access messages flagged for deletion.
Read messages are automatically purged from the system after a given number of days. Unread
messages are retained longer and then purged from the system. If both parties mark a
message as deleted, it will be removed prior to normal purge date.
If a member's account is DELETED by them or us, the message
will no longer be available.
