John and Joy Update

Joy and I wanted to update you again. We just had our first anniversary and it's hard to believe a year has passed so quickly. First let me say that our intentions of having two households for a year or so after marrying, one in Nashville and the other in Frankfort, Kentucky, was interrupted by September 11. As I watched the tragedy that day with Joy 200 miles away from me I felt helpless to protect her and knew it was time for us to be together. Less than a month later Joy and her children moved here.

With the obvious time of transition God has blessed us and drawn us closer together and to Him! I never fully realized how much I needed this beautiful Godly woman but I know it now! I will spend the rest of my life seeking her highest good second only to God.

How can I ever say thank you in a way that would properly express what you did for me with Shining Star? God has used you to fulfill me and truly my cup runneth over. I was in a desert, dying of thirst, and not knowing it until you brought me cool water to drink.

Having someone like Joy as a helpmate is an experience that I thought was only for a few chosen people and I had long since lost that chance but God is faithful!!!

Tell everyone who visits your site that it's not too late to do it God's way no matter how many mistakes or screw ups they may have made. God is in the restoration business. He really is making all things new and He may use Larry and Nannette once again.
