calling your friend's religion a cult is confrontational. maybe you meant that, to discourage him from thinking of you as a woman rather than as a friend, but if he is your friend, the cult thing is harsh. witnesses don't know their errors--and telling him such a thing will probably decrease your chances to zero of impressing him with the Truth. i have friends who are Witnesses, very devout now, who i knew before they became religious or spiritual in any way. they are lovely, devoted people who were searching; i was not the person i could have been back then to show them true Christianity. and now, because of the way Jehovah's Witnesses study, and because of their incorrectly translated bible, i have no influence. at least that i can detect. except that i remain their only non-witness friend that they will socialize with. or who will socialize with them. it's hard to hear them dismiss Jesus our Saviour as just another created man, instead of our Creator and Lord. but arguing never, never does any good, and offensive remarks are exponentially more harmful as a witness. even saying you would be unequally yoked, and leaving it at that, is harsh, and dogmatic--that is, a defensive and exclusive remark meant to put yourself in a different--higher?--spiritual place than who you talk to.
the very best thing you can do for this J.W. friend is pray, pray, pray--for him and for yourself. and live the truth. what would Christ do around him? how would Jesus talk to him, treat him?
remember that though the devil, our enemy, messes up our Holy Bible with false translations, GOD our LORD can reach anyone in any version of the Bible--because the TRUTH cannot be ever completely blotted out. He can reach them and Save them.

hi sister! I'll pray for you. what you have is a real problem. This is the problem that only God can solve. What you are doing is right. You need some support and you have it. God gives you a lot of blessings and one of them is that you can go through it. I know you can. Do you doubt in it? Probably you do. Well, here's what I can tell you, you are going the right way. And there is the words in the Bible for you: Joshua 1:5,7,8,9. These are the God's words specially for you and specially for this situation. Don't worry, God is with you. I am praying, we are praying, the whole church is praying. So nothing bad will happen to you. Stay with God, do what He tells you to do, and don't do what He tells you not to do. Satan likes to play with God's people. He looks on us like on the toys. Well God looks at us a little bit different. We are His special beloved people.
Ok. I'll pray for you. I am doing it already.

I have a dear freind and co worker. He is a very dear person and I pray for him frequently. He is a Jehovah's Witness. He doesn't comprehend that his isn't a believer in the truth. He thinks he is a Christain and every one else is wrong. Recently he asked me for a date. I am very fond of him but told him no because we are not equally yoked. He got angry and said that if we both are Christain's then what is the problem. I told him that he belonged to a cult and wasn't a Christain which set him off even more. I know that God has a purpose for this encounter please help me pray for this man's salvation. I know that the prayer of many will be heard. Thank You and God Bless.
