Dear Nannette,
Thank you so much for keeping this web site safe and clean from scammers.
I got an e-mail from Mattewjo47 and after reading his profile I found that his profile is strange (to say the least) and full of contradicting information. I just ignored his e-mail and did not respond.

He claims to be from Palo Alto, California, but another person, johnmclord, using his exact IP claims to be from the U.K. Both he and johnmclord claimed to be charity workers. Both have the name "john" in their real names. One as a first name and one as a last name. Both IP's trace back to Ontario Canada.
johnmclord claims to be 4'7".
This same IP, 3 hops, also has had several other scammers using it.
Mattewj0147 looks harmless enough. He also included a nice photo of himself standing with two children. I won't post those as I realize these photos are likely of some innocent man somewhere.
Here's the clincher, in his profile he says:
", I have only 1 Dog, Namely Chero and I have 2 Kids, none Living with me, Both with their Mumm"
But in another paragraph, he says:
"I bet You will enjoy my company, I'm Matthew From Calirfornia I have Been Hurt so badly, I Lost my wife 10 yrs ago in CA, I have 2 kids Both living with me at Home, I Really love them and I Do care for them also.. "
Hmmmm???????
In his comments he says:
"Family & Pets: I dont have a Very Big Family, My Family are very Small, I will explain my Childhood to my Lover and someone who is ready to love and make me happy, I can never tell the full history of my life, I will like to share my Life with, I have only 1 Dog, Namely Chero and I have 2 Kids, none Living with me, Both with their Mumm, I will like to meet a Lady who is Loveing and Caring, and Ready to love and make me Happy...........

He is using the old "I've been hurt, don't hurt me" ploy that scammers typically use.
In his online mails he says:
"Hello How are you doing? I saw Your Profile in my match List and i decided to send you email, Read My profile and Tell me what You think, I have Been Hurt So badly, but right now i think i can still love again, Though i have Been Hurt, I love all what i read about you in Your Profile and I will like You to read mine and tell me what you really think about me, PLS DO NOT REPLY THIS EMAIL IF YOU ARE A PLAYER OR A JOKER, I care and I will be Glad to read from You soon.
I care"
