The Great Exchange
1 Peter 2:24;
2 Corinthians 5:17-21
Colossians 1:13
Some say it was a dogwood tree
That Christ was nailed to
Whatever kind it was
'Twas done for me and you!
The Son of God had come
With His Blood He paid the cost
As it's written in The Word
He came to seek and save the lost!
Leaving His Throne in Heaven
He met saten on his own turf
He took our sin and disease
There He broke the curse!
Being made sin for us
Him Who knew no sin
So that you and I
Could have New Life within!
For death He gave us Life
He took away our shame
We now receive from The Father
As we go in Jesus' Name!
For hate He gave us Love
For disease He gives health
For failure He brings victory
For poverty He gives wealth!
Sin had reigned on the earth
From Adam and the fall
With only animal sacrifices
No Saviour on Whom to call!
At Calvary The Veil was rent
From the top all the way down
As the saints graves were opened
They appeared in the town!
Delivered out of darkness
Into The Kingdom of God's Son
We come to Him in faith
Receiving The Victory that He Won!
God is now our Father
Jesus Christ our coming King
In His Name until He comes
In this Life we will reign!
